- Cut out 6 square pieces each from orange and pink paper of size of 7*7 cm.
- Apply glue on one opposite corner and stick them together to form a cylindrical tube like shape.
- Similarly cut out 12 square pieces of paper of size of 3*3 cm each.
- Cut them into small petal flowers.
- Using the punch, make centres for flower using the silver craft paper.
- Stick the punched centre on the small paper flowers.
- Stick the finished flower to the centre of the cylindrical tube. I have used alternate colour combination to add extra glow.
- Now take one sheet each of orange and pink papers of size 27*21 cm together and cut them vertically 1 cm apart leaving a margin of 2 cm from the top. This will be used as fringes at the bottom of the Paper Lantern.
- Take the green paper of size 27*15 cm and stick the orange and pink paper fringes.
- Also apply the silver lining of 2 cm height on the top and bottom part of green paper
- Apply glue on one end of the green paper and stick it to the other end forming a hollow cylindrical shape. This will form the base of the Akash Kandil.
- Now, stick the 12 cylindrical tubes around the base of the Paper Lantern with alternate colors.
- Cut 18*2 cm green paper strip and stick it on the top of the hollow cylinder. This becomes the hanging bar for the Paper Lantern.
- Beautiful paper lantern or Akash Kandil is now ready for decorating.
