Learn how to make a super cute and pretty DIY paper handbag at home. This handbag or paper purse has a very unique and beautiful design that instantly catches your attention. And although this paper handbag craft might seem to be a bit tricky to make, it actually is a very easy paper craft idea. What is more amazing is that you don’t need any fancy materials for making this paper bag. All you need is some sort of thick craft paper or cardstock and basic craft supplies and stationery like ruler, pencil, compass, scissors and glue. Just follow the easy step by step instructions given below and you are good to go.

Materials required:
- Cardstock
- Color Craft Paper
- Jute sheet
- Hook and Loop Tape
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Compass
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions:

- Take a thick paper strip or cardstock of size 30 cm * 6 cm and draw two lines, 1cm from both the length sides.
- Make creases and fold the edges of the strip inwards along these lines.
- Now cut the edges in a zig zag pattern up to the fold as shown in the picture.
- Next, draw and cut out 3 circle of radius 7cm on a cardstock or thick craft paper.
- Now to form the base of the bag, stick the paper strip along the circumference of one paper circle as shown in the picture.
- Similarly, paste another circle on the other side of the strip to make the sides of the paper handbag.
- Trim the extra circle parts which are not stuck to the base strip.
- To make the cover flap of the DIY handbag, place the remaining circle inside the bag to mark the folding line of the flap.
- Make another fold on this paper circle corresponding to the thickness of the paper bag.
- Trim out the excess paper from all sides and attach the flap to the paper bag.
- Stick a small piece of hook and loop tape on the flap and front side of the bag for easy opening and closing of the flap.
- Take another cardstock strip and paste it on the sides of the bag to make the loop or handle of the bag.
- For the decoration, make a simple paper flower using color craft paper or use any readymade artificial flower.
- Also, cut out a few leaves to add more detailing.
- Finally stick the flower and the leaves on the front flap of the bag as shown.
And voila, you have made a super cute and adorable paper handbag all by yourself. Wasn’t it amazing?
