Materials Required:
- Cardboard
- Cardstock/ Chart Paper
- Craft Foam Sheet
- Popsicle Sticks
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Cutter
- Glue
Instructions:

- Take a cardboard sheet cutout in a shape as shown in the picture.
- With help of a cutter, make creases on the margin from the edges of the cutout for folding.
- Now fold the cardboard sheet along the creases in the inward direction. This will roughly form the base and three sides of the bird house.
- For the front part of the bird house, take another pentagon shaped cardboard sheet and cutout a round entrance hole as shown in the picture.
- Stick both the cardboard cutouts to form the basic structure of the house.
- Now stick the cardstock or chart paper to cover the outside walls of this house structure.
- Stick two thin strips of cardboard in between the two slanting edges on the upper side to make support for the roof.
- Now stick the colorful popsicle sticks, one at a time, from the top center point along the slanting edge to make a thatched roof.
- Once the basic house with roof is done, it’s time to decorate. For this, we will cutout a cute owl and tree branch with leaves using craft foam sheet.
- Paste the owl & tree motif on the front side of the DIY bird house.
- Also paste some popsicle stick pieces and colorful foam sheet cutouts on the front side wall to give it a more vibrant look.
